Genesis 3 (NIV) Genesis 3
1The serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. He told the woman, "Did God really say, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2The woman said to the serpent, We may eat fruit from trees in the garden.
3Mais of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God said, Ye shall not eat of it you even touch point, lest you die.
4Alors the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die;
5mais God knows that in the day ye eat thereof, your eyes opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6The woman saw that the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and it was desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate it also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate. 7The
eyes of one and another opened, and they knew that they were naked and having sewed fig leaves, they made themselves aprons.
8Alors they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the evening, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
9Mais the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10Il said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I'm naked and I hid myself.
11and the LORD God said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Do you have eaten of the tree that I commanded you not to eat?
12L'homme said, The woman you put here with me gave me the tree and I ate.
13and the LORD God said unto the woman, What hast thou done this? The woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I ate.
14L'Éternel God said to the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle and every beast of the field, you crawl on your belly and eat dust all the days of thy life.
15Je put enmity between thee and the woman, between thy seed and her seed: it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
16It said to the woman: I will increase the pain of your pregnancy, give birth with pain,
and thy desire shall be to your husband, he will rule over you.
17Il told the man, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree about which I commanded thee: Thou shalt not eat! Cursed is the ground because of you. It is in sorrow shalt thou eat all the days of thy life,
18IL will produce thorns and thistles, and thou shalt eat the herb of the field.
19C'est the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground from whence thou wast taken: for dust thou art, and dust shalt thou return.
20Adam called his wife's name Eve: because she was the mother of all living.
21L'Éternel God made Adam and his wife coats of skins and clothed them.
22L'Éternel God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to the knowledge of good and evil. And now, lest he put forth his hand and take the tree of life, and eat, and live forever.
23Et the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24C'est as he drove the man out and he placed at the east of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword, to keep the way of the tree of life.
